Darcy Mascotti Named Outstanding Senior Spanish Student

Williamsburg, Ky. – Darcy Mascotti (Bellbrook, Ohio) was honored with the 2014 Outstanding Senior Spanish Student Award at the 55th Annual Honors Day held in the Gatliff Chapel at University of the Cumberlands (UC) on April 27, 2014.

Mascotti, the daughter of Sharon and Scott Vallery and Mitchell and Lois Mascotti, is a Biology major with minors in Spanish and Missions & Ministry. Mascotti has demonstrated excellence through her academic achievement in Spanish classes and through her deep interest in Hispanic culture. And last, but certainly not least, Darcy was named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. These students have excelled in one or more of the following areas: participation and leadership in academic and extracurricular activities; citizenship and service to the school and community; and potential for future achievement.

After graduation, Mascotti plans to attend graduate school at the University of Findlay. After completing a Physician Assistant program, she intends to become a short-term medical missionary.
