Grace Van Ryckeghem receives awards at Honors Day

 


Williamsburg, KY- The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Student Government Association (SGA) named Grace Van Ryckeghem (Franklin, Tenn.) the Female Student of the Year. This Student leadership award was presented during the Fifty-Fifth Annual Honors Day held April 27th in the Gatliff Chapel on UC’s campus.

Student who earn High Honor have attained a minimum of 3.85 cumulative standing.

Van Ryckeghem is a Biology and Exercise Sports Science double major with a Missions and Ministry minor. She is a member of the Biological Honor Society, the Math and Physics Club, and will be the Student Government Vice President in the fall all while being an NAIA All-American Swimmer.

The Student Government Association chose Grace because she exemplifies hard work, determination, and passion for what she does.

Van Ryckeghem was also named to the University’s High Honor Roll. Students recognized for this honor must attain a minimum of 3.85 cumulative grade point average standing.
