UC Confers 388 Degrees in December

Williamsburg, KY., - In December 2013, 388 students completed their studies and were graduated from University of the Cumberlands (UC).

A combination of undergraduate as well as graduate degrees were awarded based on completion of requirements.

Fifty-six students earned a bachelor’s of science degree with nine finishing at UC with a bachelor’s or arts. Eight students earned master’s in business administration while four received their master’s degrees as education specialists.

Three-hundred and two students completed their careers at UC with master’s degrees in education/teaching while nine earned doctorate degrees in education.

All UC undergraduate students are required to complete a minimum of 40 hours of community service before graduation and those who choose to complete a minimum of 200 service hours were named Hutton Scholars.

Sixteen undergraduate students were also graduated with honors. There was one Summa Cum Laude (3.95-4.0), four Magna Cum Laude (3.85-3.94), and eleven Cum Laude (3.70-3.84) graduates in the December 2013 class.

UC is still enrolling for the spring semester. Undergraduate classes begin on January 15th and graduate and online learning have several different enrollment dates based on the degree.
