Freeman Receives Gorman Jones Campus Leadership Award at UC

 


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - University of the Cumberlands is proud to announce that Carrie Freeman, of Rockholds, Ky., is the recipient of the Gorman Jones Campus Leadership Award.

Freeman, the daughter of Tommy and Donna Freeman, is pursuing a major in Music and a minor in Religion. Since coming to UC, she has maintained a 3.88 GPA and has served as chaplain for the Chorale, vice president for recruitment and alto section leader. She has received the Christian Leadership Scholarship for four consecutive years. Freeman is also very active in Campus Ministries, participating in mission trips to Louisiana and France. In the future, she wants to be involved in foreign missions as a vocation.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Ky., is a private liberal arts college in its 117th year of operation. Cumberland offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs.
