Hess Named University of the Cumberlands Honored Religion Graduate


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - Magan E. Hess, the daughter of Wanda Hess and the late Michael Hess of Eubank, Ky., was presented as the 2006 Honored Religion Graduate during the Honor’s Day service held April 24.

For the past two years, Hess has served as president of Cumberlands’ Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM); and for the past year, she has served as vice president for the state’s BCM. She has also been involved in the creative ministries team and served as a family group leader. Hess has been an ambassador for two years, a STAR for three years, and a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) dorm minister.

Hess has received a full scholarship to McAfee School of Theology in Atlanta.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 117th year of operation. Cumberlands offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs, as well as online and accelerated, nontraditional programs for adults.
