UC Music Department Hosts Faculty Recital

Williamsburg, Ky., - On Tuesday, March 19th, University of the Cumberlands’ (UC) music department invited students, faculty, and members of the community to join them for the UC Instrumental Faculty Recital. The recital was performed by the instrumental professors to help raise money for the Relay for Life events going on around campus.

The concert began with the instrumental professors which included Jim Corcoran (percussion), Dr. Steven Sudduth (trombone), David Threlkeld (saxophone), and Dr. Patrick Tuck (trumpet), performing solo pieces to show off their individual talents. The show ended with a brass ensemble comprised of many different men from various areas that were invited to UC to participate by Dr. Patrick Tuck. The group played a variety of pieces that were very entertaining and sounded beautifully.

“It was an honor to perform a benefit concert for our upcoming UC Relay for Life event. We had a great time working for a worthy cause!” said UC Trumpet Professor, Patrick Tuck.

University of the Cumberlands will be hosting their Relay for Life event on Friday, March 22 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the O. Wayne Rollins Center.
