Bright Receives Social Work Award


WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The 2006 University of the Cumberlands Award for Excellence in Social Work was presented to Erica Bright of London, Ky., during the Honors Day convocation service held April 24.

Bright has maintained a 3.8 overall GPA, been recognized as an honor student each year she has been in college, has served as secretary and treasurer for Cumberlands’ Social Work Club, is a missions leader and a bible study group leader for the Baptist Campus Ministries, has been recognized by the Who’s Who Among American College Students and is a Hutton Scholar.

Bright is the daughter of Jeanette Adams of Barbourville, Ky.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 117th year of operation. Cumberlands offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs, as well as online and accelerated, nontraditional programs for adults.
