Students Honored as Outstanding Senior Musicians

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky.- University of the Cumberlands is proud to announce the award for Outstanding Senior Musician, which is presented to the senior music major who excels not only as a performer but also as a student in his or her particular area of study. This year there were three award recipients: Kaci Hina, Jimmy Cornn and Carrie Freeman.

Hina is the daughter of Kevin and Sheila Hina of Zanesville, Ohio. She has a double major in music and psychology.

Cornn is the son of Louise Reid and the late Jim Cornn of Barbourville, Ky. Jimmy is a fall 2005 graduate of the University of the Cumberlands and is currently seeking employment as a high school band director.

Freeman is the daughter of Tommy and Donna Freeman. Before attending seminary school in the fall, she is to teach English as a second language in Thailand.

University of the Cumberlands, located in Williamsburg, Kentucky, is a private liberal arts college in its 117th year of operation. Cumberlands offers four undergraduate degrees in 37 major fields of study, 30 minors and nine pre-professional programs, as well as online and accelerated, nontraditional programs for adults.
