UC’s Gone Mobile

Williamsburg, Ky. – On Tuesday, November 20th, University of the Cumberlands (UC) went live on mobile devices for fast and easy access to all UC related subjects. Just search for University of the Cumberlands on your mobile device to connect with UC.

“Our primary goal is to make UC’s front door as accessible as possible to anyone who is or wishes to be a part of our university community,” said Erica Harris, UC Admissions Director. “Mobile apps are a medium our prospective and current students, alumni and others are using every day, so it is only logical that we use that medium to reach out to our community in more ways.”

The new mobile site is designed for those on the go and provides all the latest updated information about UC and how to become a member of the Patriots family. Cumberlands is the only University in the Mid-South Conference (MSC) to offer this new innovative quick mobile site to help you navigate through the information fast.

On the mobile site, you can find all the admissions forms that you need to fill out to apply to UC and the best part is you can do it on your mobile device anywhere you are. Additional follow-up forms, after you have been accepted to UC, are also available to make it quick, easy, and convenient for future Patriots. The application process for prospective students has never been easier. Prospective students can also schedule a visit through UC’s admissions office and find what degrees are offered at Cumberlands.

Also from the home page catch-up on the recent activities occurring at UC, look up your favorite Patriots athletic teams, and see programs that are scheduled for the future.

“In this short amount of time, we have already received several mobile applications for admission and several requests for information,” said Harris. “I can only imagine that these numbers will continue to grow.” UC also offers its own iPhone Application (App). The free application is available for download on your iPhone’s App Store (search CUMBERLANDS) and offers many beneficial features for students, faculty/staff, alumni, prospective students, and friends of the college.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; twelve graduate degrees, including two doctorate, two specialist and eight master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
