CSC employees donate to Mountain Outreach

Williamsburg, Ky. - On Tuesday, November 27th employees at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in Williamsburg presented a gift of over $2,000 to University of the Cumberlands (UC) Director of Mountain Outreach (MO) Marc Hensley. The money will be used to purchase toys and gifts for families that are registered for MO's annual Gift Day.

"These people are awesome," said Gayle Troxell, CSC Facility Manager. "They all care about the children and community, especially at Christmas time. It all comes straight from the heart."

"This has been a four year partnership between our two organizations and they have been an important part of Christmas Gift Day," said Hensley. "We have been able to serve more children with food and toys because of the efforts of CSC. Their contributions are what got us started with giving out food."

Mountain Outreach is a University of the Cumberlands construction ministry, with students and volunteers completing 141 homes and making repairs and renovations to hundreds more in the last 30 years. The organization has sponsored Gift Day for more than a decade, providing Christmas gifts for children of needy families in the area.

Inquiries about Gift Day and how individuals, businesses or churches might help can be directed to the Mountain Outreach office at 606-539-4346 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
