Bradley Karr Receives George I. Alden Scholarship


Williamsburg, Ky. – On Monday, April 23rd, University of the Cumberlands (UC) held their 53rd annual Honors Day Awards Ceremony to honor the students, staff, and faculty for their accomplishments throughout the year.

One of the honored students was Bradley Karr (Lily, KY) who received a George I. Alden Endowed Scholarship. He was one of 6 students to receive the one half tuition scholarship.

The George I. Alden Endowed Scholarship Fund, established in 1981 by the George I. Alden Trust, provides one-half tuition scholarships for six students and full tuition scholarships for two students; all of who must be majoring in scientific areas.

Bradley, who is working on his degree in math, was also recognized for High Honor for maintaining a minimum 3.85 cumulative grade point average.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
