Mary Lee Receives Service Award from Cumberlands


Williamsburg, Ky. - University of the Cumberlands (UC) presented the A. T. Siler Memorial Service Award to Mary Elizabeth Lee (Wallins, KY) during the annual Honors Day ceremonies on Monday, April 23rd, in the O. Wayne Rollins Center. Lee was also recognized for High Honor for maintaining a grade point average above 3.85.

The A.T. Siler Award is awarded to a woman of the junior class who possesses the qualities which indicate the potential for outstanding contributions to her community as well as manifesting the best qualities of potential service to society. Each candidate must possess good academic standing and accords herself with the high moral standards of the University.

Some of the contributions Mary Beth has made to society are, but not limited to, director of the Baptist Campus Ministries (BCM) Disciples Drama team, Student Life Assistant, and leading a youth Christian assembly in her hometown.

Mary is the daughter of Roland & Penelope Lee. She is currently working on her Bachelor of Science in Early Education while being a leader on campus and at home.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
