UC’s Student Government Association Honors Outstanding Staff Member

Williamsburg, Ky. - On Monday, April 23rd, University of the Cumberlands (UC) held their 53rd annual Honors Day Convocation in the O. Wayne Rollins Center. The program honors students, faculty/staff, and special guests for their hard work and dedication throughout the academic year.

Every year the Student Government Association (SGA) honors a staff member at Cumberlands. The staff member that is awarded is a person who has been helpful to SGA along with the student body as a whole and in this case the nation. This year, SGA honored Ms. Agnes Brown-Oliphant, Hutton School of Business Administrative Assistant and Chair of the UC Relay for Life.

Agnes was honored because of her key role in leading and organizing Relay for Life at UC. For those who don't know, Relay for Life is an event to raise awareness and money to fight cancer. This year marked the 2ndannual event held at the school. Agnes worked with each and every team to host two of the best relays any university has ever produced.
