Cumberlands Announces Christian Leadership Scholarship Recipients

Williamsburg, Ky. – University of the Cumberlands (UC) is pleased to announce that 33 students have been named Christian Leadership Scholar honorees for the 2012-2013 school year. Each student will be receiving a $1000 scholarship.

UC’s Christian Leadership Scholarship program exists to acknowledge the contributions of deserving students to their churches and to other Christian organizations. In doing so, the university is making an investment in the lives of the students selected for these scholarships and in the future of the organizations they represent.

The 2012-13 scholarship recipients are: Susan Albertson (South Shore, KY), Mary Allen (Manchester, KY), Kevin Baker (Williamsburg, KY), Sarah Becker (Soddy Daisy, TN), Hannah Blevins (Eubank, KY), Taylor Brewer (Raceland, KY), Logan Brown (Dayhoit, KY), Noah Burris (Cambridge, OH), Kenny Campbell (Harriman, TN), Kaylee Crawford (Crab Orchard, KY), Dylan Cupp (Rockholds, KY), Hayley Davis (Mt. Vernon, KY), Kayla Finley (Winchester, KY), Cierra Gamble (Hebron, KY), Kandace Gibson (Horse Cave, KY), Trinity Goodman (Middlesboro, KY), Hannah Gray (London, KY), Brooke Greene (Dothan, AL), Allison Horn (Corbin, KY), Ethan Lake (Berea, KY), Emma LeMaster (Winchester, KY), John McCord (Kingsport, TN), Emily Rose (Williamsburg, KY), Alli Shock (Knoxville, TN), Ashley Smith (Headland, AL), Logan Smith (Danville, KY), Cameron Smoak (Williamsburg, KY), Sophi Suarez (Cumming, GA), Kenton Sulfridge (Andersonville, TN), Tracy Taphouse (Dacula, GA), Levi Trentham (Friendsville, TN), Allie Washing (Lexington, KY), and Chesney Williams (Knoxville, TN).

Believing that the most meaningful and rewarding life is one that is spent in service to others, UC has implemented this Christian Leadership Scholarship program to enhance the commitment that individual students are making to provide leadership to various Christian organizations.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
