Madison Branstetter Jones Receives Excellence in Middle School Education Award


Williamsburg, Ky. – On Monday, April 23rd, University of the Cumberlands (UC) student Madison Branstetter Jones (Wartburg, TN) received the Excellence in Middle School Education Award during the annual Honors Day Convocation held in the O. Wayne Rollins Center.

While at UC, Madison has been active in Appalachian Ministries, participated in mission work in Haiti, and was a member of the junior varsity women’s basketball team. She has served as an officer in the KEA student organization and was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Honors Society.

Madison, the daughter of Mitchell and Margie Branstetter, hopes to find a job and pursue her Master’s degree in English after graduation.

She is married to Bryan Jones who is a recent Cumberlands graduate from UC’s MAT program.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
