UC Hosts Hanging of the Green

 


Williamsburg, Ky. – On Tuesday, November 29, University of the Cumberlands (UC) held their annual Hanging of the Green to kick off the Christmas season at the Gatliff Chapel located on the UC campus.

The service featured congregational singing, a trumpet ensemble, and the Cumberland Singers as they played or sung several traditional favorites as “Deck the Halls”, “Hark the Herald Angels Sing”, and “Mary Did you Know” among others.

 


After the event everyone from the university and community were invited to a public reception that was held at the home of University President Dr. Jim Taylor and Mrs. Dinah Taylor.

Located in Williamsburg, Ky., University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
