Cumberlands Highlights Campus Emphasis Week

Williamsburg, KY. - October 3-7th will be Career Emphasis Week at University of the Cumberlands (UC). Debbie Harp, Career Services Director and Coordinator of this event, makes sure that Cumberlands’ students know the basics of job searching, resume making, and appropriate dress and behavior for interviews.

Career Services coordinates and distributes multiple FREE materials in the Boswell Campus Center (BCC) lobby including Job Choice magazines, Self-Directed Search, Résumé and Interview Skills booklet, What to Do With a Degree In…. plus many other resources which are helpful in deciding upon a major field of study or potential internships, job opportunities or careers. The materials are relevant for freshmen through seniors with all students benefiting from the resources.

“Career Emphasis Week is an excellent opportunity for all our students to obtain a wealth of information pertaining to career choices,” said Debbie Harp. “The resources which are available will help them make a more informed decision regarding their individual career paths.”

Graduate schools have been invited to attend Graduate School Day on Wednesday, Oct. 5th as part of Career Emphasis Week. This event is held in the Boswell Campus Center Grill Area from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Students may stop by during these hours to speak with representatives from these campuses.
