CO-STAR Director to Speak at Cumberlands


Williamsburg, Ky. - C.L. Lindsey, executive director of the Coalition for Student and Academic Rights (CO-STAR), will address the students and faculty of University of the Cumberlands (UC) on October 3, 2011. Convocation will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the O. Wayne Rollins Center and is open to the public.

Recognized across the nation as an expert in the field of student rights and academic freedom, Lindsey has built CO-STAR into a national student rights organization that helps thousands of college students with their legal problems, free of charge, each year.

Lindsey has written several books and a number of articles on the rights of students and has appeared on national television and radio and has been featured in countless regional and national publications.

When not lecturing, Lindsey teaches courses in Law and Literature at the University of Pennsylvania.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
