Cumberlands to Host FREE Grant Writing Workshop

 


Williamsburg, Ky. - The Susan G. Komen Lexington Affiliate will host a FREE grant writing workshop on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.at the Hutton School of Business Building, Room 106 on the campus of the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

Susan G. Komen Lexington Affiliate grants thousands of dollars each year to ensure quality care and education is available in the 58 counties in Kentucky. Affiliates of the Komen Foundation represent one of the nation’s largest private funding sources for breast health and breast cancer screening, education, patient navigation and treatment support programs.

Efforts are being made to get grant money utilized in southern Kentucky. This is an excellent opportunity for many health care entities in the area to learn how to write a grant in order to receive funding to fill the health care gaps for men and women who need breast cancer screenings, treatment, education assistance and/ or patient navigations assistance.
