Walmart Partners with Cumberlands for UC Frenzy

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky – On Sunday August 21, Walmart in Williamsburg will be hosting their inaugural “UC Frenzy”. The event, which coincides with student move-in day, will provide University of the Cumberlands’ (UC) students with discounts on many college essentials sold in the store.

“UC Frenzy” will also include a carnival in the Walmart parking lot featuring inflatables, a dunking booth of UC professors/coaches, and a cookout. The total amount of proceeds from the carnival will be given to UC groups and organizations.

“It’s wonderful to have the opportunity to partner with Walmart to benefit our students and community,” UC Campus Activities Board director Lisa Bartram said. “Hopefully, this will become a yearly event.”

This year’s “UC Frenzy” will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday August 21, 2011.

Located in Williamsburg, KY, University of the Cumberlands is an institution of regional distinction, which currently offers four undergraduate degrees in more than 40 major fields of study; nine pre-professional programs; seven graduate degrees, including a doctorate and six master’s degrees; certifications in education; and online programs.
