Job Title Assistant, Associate or Full Professor of Education

Job Responsibilities  
The School of Education at University of the Cumberlands seeks an educator to join our faculty as an assistant, associate or full professor of special education.  Primary responsibilities will include teaching special education courses each semester (fall, spring and summer) in the areas of special education.  This position serves undergraduate and master's level candidates in the School of Education.  Faculty members are expected to participate in faculty shared governance, curriculum development, recruitment, student advisement, dissertation committees, scholarly research, and professional service activities.  The School of Education seeks to hire a diverse faculty.

Job Requirements  
  • Earned doctorate (by time of appointment) in Education.  Each faculty member must serve as core faculty.
  • Work experience in P-12 Special Education
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Experience using a variety of instruction technology and online delivery methods
  • Successful experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate level of special education core areas
  • Record of professional and scholarly productivity
  • Involvement in state, regional or nation associations
