Happy Winter!!

We have some percussion events coming up at UC! All area students are invited to attend. With the exception of the KY DOP, these events are free and open to the public.

FEBRUARY 27, 2010: UC MUSIC DEPARTMENT AUDITIONS.
If you plan to major in music, please plan to attend these auditions, or make other arrangements for auditions. Please call (606) 539-4332 for more information, or visit us here to register.

MARCH 6, 2010: THE PAS KENTUCKY DAY OF PERCUSSION.
This event is held at the Singletary Center for the Arts on the University of Kentucky Campus, and costs $5 for PAS members, and $10 for non-members. For more information, scheduled artists and door prizes, visit the 2010 KY DOP.

MARCH 9, 2010: JOSH SMITH PERFORMANCE TECHNIQUE MASTERCLASS, 4 PM. FREE!!
Dr. Josh Smith, professor of percussion at Bethel College will be on campus to do a peformance technique masterclass at 4pm. FREE Visit Innovative Percussion or Black Swamp to find out more about Dr. Smith's clinic schedule.

MARCH 30, 2010: UC INSTRUMENTAL FACULTY RECITAL, 7:30 PM. FREE!
The UC instrumental faculty will be performing a joint recital at the McGaw Music building recital hall on campus.

APRIL 5, 2010: BRANDON WOOD PERCUSSION CLINIC/CONCERT, 1:00 PM. FREE!
Brandon Wood will be performing multiple percussion, marimba and vibraphone and discussing various musical concepts and extended techniques required for each instrument.

APRIL 12, 2010: ANDY HARNSBERGER MARIMBA CLINIC, NOON - 2:00 PM. FREE!

APRIL 20, 2010: UC PERCUSSION ENSEMBLE CONCERT, 7:30 PM. FREE!!
Come see the UC Percussion Ensemble perform on this Tuesday!

APRIL 27, 2010: BEN STIERS TIMPANI CLINIC, 4:00 PM. FREE!!
Unique clinic explaining important timpaniideas.

JUNE 12, 2010: YAMAHA SOUNDS OF SUMMER, CUMBERLAND DRUM CAMP

Good luck for the Indoor Marching Season to Aaron Beckner, Christina Dunford, and Jordan Stickell, who are all members of the TATES CREEK INDOOR ENSEMBLE. GO TCIE! Good luck at Tri-state and WGI competitions.

Jared Adams, will be scaling down his responsibilities at TCIE to begin teaching an indoor ensemble at Corbin High School. UC Drumline wishes Corbin an incredible fun and educational season!

UC Drumline would like to wish North Laurel High School and Pulaski County High School an incredible indoor season as well! Good luck to you all!
