In addition to her role at UC, Melissa "Blair" Whitaker, MPAS, PA-C holds certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed to practice medicine in Kentucky, Indiana, and Georgia. She is also a nationally certified medical examiner through the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Northern Kentucky Mental Health-Mental Retardation Regional Board (dba NorthKey Community Care). Additionally, she is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Kentucky Academy of Physician Assistants. She has worked clinically as a physician assistant in rheumatology, primary care, and pain management. She is originally from Louisville, KY, and is currently living in Hebron, KY with her husband, two daughters, and French bulldog. She is an avid University of Kentucky sports fan.
