Dennis J. Trickett. An alum of UC (then Cumberland College). After graduation attended seminary in New Orleans earning a Masters and Doctoral degree. Served on several church staffs while at NOBTS and also worked at a state psychiatric hospital for 5 years. Also ran a Clinical Training Program for the seminary at the hospital.

Returned to Kentucky in 1986 and began working at the community mental health center as an adolescent substance abuse specialist and eventually became director of substance abuse prevention for the MHC.

In 1997 returned to Cumberland College and began teaching full time in the Psychology department. Over the 21 years in the department taught every course offered except the Stats classes and some of the special topics courses. Was the department chair for the last 11 years at UC. Retired from full-time teaching in 2018 but continued teaching online courses since that time.

Outside of teaching my wife and I enjoy traveling. Last summer we completed our goal of visiting all 50 states. I also enjoy hunting and fishing and spend a lot of time in my little wood shop.
