Position  HR Assistant
Requirements  We are seeking an individual with a HR background (preferably with accounting/payroll experience) of at least 1-3 years, degree preferred, can maintain a high level of confidentiality and provide a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities  -First point of contact for employees and addressing HR-related issues. Verify/update attendance records and personal information and make employee time cards as needed. -Responsible for the entire benefits process: initial enrollment, open enrollment, qualifying event changes, etc. for all benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), STD, LTD, etc.) for 850 employees. -Assist in the planning/implementation of community involvement, employee engagement, plant-wide events and new hire orientation. -Assist in special projects as needed. -Provide back-up support to the HR Assistant and HR Supervisor as needed. -Typically a 1st shift position (i.e. 8AM – 5PM), but must be open to working evenings 1-3 days per week (i.e. 2PM – 11PM) on a consistent schedule. We can be flexible with the schedule. Verify/update attendance records and personal information and make employee time cards as needed. -Responsible for the recordkeeping and filing for the department and tracking of training (i.e. safety). -Assist in the planning/implementation of community involvement, employee engagement, plant-wide events and new hire orientation. -Assist in special projects as needed. -Provide back-up support (actually process payroll) to the Payroll Administrator (ADP / Kronos) as needed (i.e. vacation) for 800 employees. -Provide back-up support to the Benefits Coordinator as needed. -Typically a 1st shift position (i.e. 8AM – 5PM), but must be open to working evenings 1-3 days per week (i.e. 2PM – 11PM) on a consistent schedule. We can be flexible with the schedule.
