Position  Director Supply Chain
Requirements  - Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in Supply Chain is required. - A minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in management required - Experience in negotiation of price and service required. - Competency at the intermediate level using Microsoft Word and Excel is required. - Global supply chain experience a plus - Must be able to communicate effectively with suppliers to negotiate price and service as well as to addressresolve issues in person, over the telephone, and via correspondence. - Must have a history of displayed competency in using computers, including Microsoft Office applications - Must be able to utilize a computer for up to 8 hours a day - Must be able to work on weekend as required
Responsibilities  - Coordinates Operating Company (OC) strategies and programs based on OC and global supply chain strategies and programs. - Take the lead on sourcing, qualifying and ongoing management of all outsourced products for all divisions of the group. Ensures materials and service suppliers meet total costs, quality, delivery, service, and technical support requirements of the operating companies, the group, and Manitowoc Food Service. - Meets responsibilities as a member of the Global Supply Chain Team for total Manitowoc Food Service supply chain decisions and initiatives. This includes leading supply chain initiatives across more than one operating company and actively participating on initiative teams, meetings and conference calls. This also includes participation in determining supply chain strategies and program development. - Meets responsibilities as a member of the Global Supply Chain Team for total Manitowoc Food Service supply chain decisions and initiatives. This also includes participation in determining supply chain strategies and program development. - Initiates savings initiatives, builds a business case for a decision and presents to Division, OC and Global Purchasing team. This includes product and service value analysis initiatives that may involve operations in other functions. - Negotiates contracts that best meet the Division, OC, and Manitowoc Food Service Group objectives. Be the lead person to work with our suppliers and negotiate/implement terms with our suppliers to reduce inventory and reduce our purchase parts outages. Establish cross-functional teams to support and implement inventory reduction initiatives. - Provides purchasing expertise and training to other functions, such as services, that manage costs where a supplier is used. - Assist the Division Purchasing Managers’ to resolve any quality, delivery or service issue with the supply chain and ensures a permanent resolution is put in place. - Works with divisional and group accounting teams to properly budget and forecast any changes in material or purchased service costs.
