    <title>Patriot Track &amp; Field Participants Perform Well at Nationals</title>

    <description>Several University of the Cumberlands track and field team student-athletes earned the right to participate in the NAIA National Outdoor Track &amp; Field Meet in St. Louis, Missouri on May 22-24, 2008.  The student-athletes represented the Cumberlands well earning several honors as the men's team finished 19th with 18.5 points out of 57 participating schools.  </description>

    <title>Cumberlands Tisdol Wins National Title</title>

    <description>University of the Cumberlands track and field team student-athlete Eric Tisdol (Eastman, GA) earned the right to participate in the NAIA National Outdoor Track &amp; Field Meet in St. Louis, Missouri on May 22-24, 2008.  Tisdol performed outstanding earning first place and a National Title in the Long Jump event with a jump of 7.25m.</description>

    <description>In preparation for the NAIA Outdoor Nationals, several members of the University of the Cumberlands track and field team took part in the Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday May 17th.  The event featured a plethora of the nation's top athletes in Division I, II, III, and NAIA.</description>

    <description>After a strong showing in the 2008 Mid-South Conference Championships that saw the University of the Cumberlands Patriot women capture the MSC crown and the Patriot men come in 2nd place, the University of the Cumberlands Track &amp; Field teams had been honored with six athletes receiving MSC All-Conference Team honors. </description>

    <title>Patriot Women Take 1st; Men Take 2nd in MSC Track &amp; Field Championship</title>

    <description>The University of the Cumberlands Track &amp; Field teams had strong showings in the 2008 Mid-South Conference Championships on Saturday, April 26, 2008.  The Patriot women captured the MSC Crown and the Patriot men came in 2nd in front of the home crowd at James H. Taylor II Stadium.  The Patriot women edged out Shorter College 214-208 for the crown, while the Patriot men totaled 178 points which was good enough for second behind the Shorter men's team (251).</description>

    <title>Cumberlands Jeffers Competes among Nation's Best</title>

    <description>University of the Cumberlands junior All-American Jordan Jeffers (Fairview, TN) recently took part in the 2008 Sea Ray Relays held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville on Friday, April 11th.  Jeffers competed in a field of 50 participants in the Men's 100 Meter Dash and his 26th place finish was against some of the Nation's best runners in division I, II, III, and NAIA.</description>

    <title>Patriot Track Sweeps Cumberlands Invitational</title>

    <description>The University of the Cumberlands Men and Women's Track and Field Teams both brought home first place in University of the Cumberlands Invitational on April 12th.  The event held at the University of the Cumberlands' James H. Taylor, II Stadium featured 19 men's and 16 women's teams.  On the men's side, the Patriots finished with a score of 110, which was 17 points ahead of second place finisher Carson Newman College.  On the ladies' side, the Patriots collected 94.5 points, 2.5 better than Milligan College.</description>

The Patriots held their own against some of the best Division I, II, and III athletes in the nation.</description>
