This year, a new era will begin.  In honor of former Patriot golf coach, Bill Sergent, the University of the Cumberlands has voted unanimously to name the annual golf tournament the Bill Sergent Invitational.</description>

    <title>Patriot Golf Signs Lemaster</title>

    <description>The University of the Cumberlands Men's Golf team has another addition to their 2008-2009 roster. Jarrod Lemaster (Scottsboro, AL), a transfer from Meridian Community College (MCC) has signed to play golf for the Patriots in the upcoming year. </description>

    <title>Price and Burgan:  The Dynamic Duo</title>

    <description>University of the Cumberlands senior golfer Justin Price, along with his fellow teammate sophomore Michael Burgan teamed up this season to capture a long list of awards.  Recently, Price and Burgan were named to the Mid-South Conference All-Conference Team.  In addition, Burgan was also named to the NAIA All Region XI team for his successful strides on the green.</description>

Cumberlands left the three-round tournament in fifth place with a total combined score of 930. Finishing ahead of the Patriots were Campbellsville University (1st; 886), Lindsey Wilson College (2nd; 907), Union University (3rd; 913), and Cumberland University (4th; 929).</description>

Vernon Nazarene (634), Tennessee Wesleyan (635), Walters State Junior College (638), Marian College (639), Lindenwood B team (649), Indiana Wesleyan University (661), UVA at Wise (671), Union College (686), St. Catherine Community College (693), Kentucky State University (723), West Virginia Tech (745), Montreat College (766), and Berea College (768).</description>
