    <title>Cumberland Runners Recognized as Scholar Athletes</title>

    <description>&lt;p&gt;The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has released the 2007 Daktronics-NAIA Cross Country Scholar Athletes.  Three Cumberland runners were included in this list of 298 men and women's cross country runners from 100 different schools.  To be nominated the student athlete must maintain a GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have junior or above academic status.  Each runner is nominated by their schools head coach.</description>

    <title>Cross Country Teams Finish 3rd in Region and 2nd in MSC</title>

    <description>&lt;p&gt;This past weekend the University of the Cumberlands Men and Women's Cross Country Team's ran at the Mid-South Conference and Region XI Championships hosted by Union University in Nashville, TN.  In Region XI, the women finished third with 66 points behind Union and Lindsey Wilson.  The men also finished 3rd with 72 points behind Union and Lindsey Wilson.  In the MSC, the women finished 2nd with 47 points behind Lindsey Wilson and the men also finished 2nd with 47 points behind Lindsey Wilson.</description>
