Official Cornhole Rules

General Rules

The game should be played between 2 teams of 2 players each. 2 players are required to avoid a forfeit.
There will be one division: Team may be 2 males, 2 females, or co-ed.
A speaking captain must be selected to make all decisions and shall be the only one who addresses the officials.
Team representatives, including players, substitutes, coaches, and other persons affiliated with the team are subject to the rules of the game, and shall be governed by decisions of officials assigned to the game.

Game Setup

One member of each team shall line up at each board. This means that at each board there will be two contestants, one from each team.
Since there are 8 bags, 4 of one color and 4 of another, each team shall choose a color to represent their team.

Delivery of Corn Bags

Teams alternate in tossing the corn bags.
The team who scored in the previous tossing shall go first.

Scoring

A team will receive 3 points for each corn bag tossed in the hole and 1 point for each corn bag on the board.
If both teams have a corn bag in the hole, the points are washed and not counted for. The same thing goes for corn bags on the board.
Each game goes to 21.
In the event of both teams reaching a score of 21 or more, play shall continue until one team scores more than the other.

Conduct of Players and Others- As a result to one of the following, the player/team accused will lose the serve (possible ejection from game and/or season if staff deems necessary):

Any acts of unfair play.
Using acts or words prior to the serve in attempt to interfere with the other team.
Intentionally swinging an arm, hand, fist, or corn bag at an opposing player.
Using profanity, insulting others, or using vulgar language or gestures.
Disrespecting an official.
Indicating objections to an officials decision.
Intentionally contacting a game official physically during or after the game.
