title Admissions Home

Thank you for your interest in joining the GoUnCommon team! As a member of this team and freshman ambassador for the University of the Cumberlands, you’ll blog about your freshman year, provide insights for prospective students, tweet from student events and showcase an inside look at what life at UC is all about!

Things you should know:

Team members will be expected to complete two official blog posts per month, from August 2014 until May 2015, for a total of 20 blog articles. These articles can cover a variety of subjects, ranging from the college admissions process to student life or athletics. Each article will be expected to include 2-3 photos. Students will be paid $40 per month. If the articles aren’t completed by the assigned due date, the writer will not be paid. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your story and your freshman year experience with prospective students and your fellow classmates – but the expectations of quality are high. Be prepared to do your best!

In addition to the blog posts each month, team members are expected to participate on social media – Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc – via their personal account or an official university-affiliated account.

The ideal candidate is…

  • enthusiastic and full of PATRIOT PRIDE,
  • ready to go the extra mile to share their story in a creative way,
  • organized and on-time with blog posts,
  • last bust not least, engaged with campus activities of all kinds!

All applications are due by August 1st at 5pm. Applicants will be notified by August 8th if selected. If you have questions about the position or your application, please email or call:
