Mrs. Kay Dawn McFarland

Mrs. Kay Dawn McFarland has been a member of the UC music faculty/staff since 2005.  She earned the Bachelor of Music Performance degree and the Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in music degree from Union College. She also completed the Master of Music Performance degree from Eastern Kentucky University.

Mrs. McFarland is the Coordinator of Piano Studies for UC.  In addition to her teaching responsibilities at the university, Mrs. McFarland accompanies for the Chamber Choir/Show Choir and the Chorale, as well as solo vocal and instrumental faculty and students.  She has adjudicated for the NAPT (Piano Guild) since 2007.   She maintains a private piano studio and continues to adjudicate for piano festivals and performances throughout the US.
Currently, Mrs. McFarland also serves as the organist for First Presbyterian Church in Middlesboro, KY.  She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and the National Association of Piano Teachers.
