AUTHORS:

	William R. Adkins is a 1996 graduate of Cumberland. William plans to attend the Chase School of Law at Northern Kentucky University where he has a full, three-year scholarship. The original draft of his paper was written for the Issues in History course, a required course for history majors at Cumberland College.
	Robert E. Stephens, Jr. is a a 1996 graduate of Cumberland. He also plans to attend law school. H has earned a full, three-year scholarship to the University of Louisville. The original draft of his paper was written for the Issues in History course, a required course for history majors at Cumberland College. Robert served as co-historian of the Upsilon-Upsilon Chapter during the 1994-95 school year and president during the 1995-96 school year.
	Christen L. Tominson is a junior, political science major from Cartersville, Gerogia. She plans, after graduation, to attend graduate school in political science. Christen hopes to eventually teach on the college level and become involved in politics at the state or national level. The original draft of her paper was written for the International Relations course.
