Aaron D. Purcell is a 1990 graduate of Rockcastle County High School and a 1994 Cumberland graduate. His current goals include obtaining a masters degree in history and teaching at the college level. Aaron's paper was originally written for a course entitled Issues in History in the Fall of 1993. He read his paper at the 1994 Regional Phi Alpha Theta Conference at Cumberland College. |

Keith Semmel is an associate professor of communication arts in the Department of English. He received the B.A. from Mansfield State College, and the M.A. and Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University. His research interests include mass media and popular culture studies. He joined the Cumberland College faculty in 1990. |
| Lee White is a 1990 graduate of Oldham County High School in Oldham County, Kentucky and a 1994 Cumberland graduate. She plans to attend either Law School or Graduate School in Public Administration. Lee wrote her paper for the course entitled Issues in History in the fall of 1993. Her paper was read at the 1994 Regional Phi Alpha Theta Conference at Cumberland College. |
