Ed.D Admissions Criteria

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • an earned graduate GPA of 3.5 on a
    4.0 scale
  • a sealed letter of recommendation
    and support from a current school
    supervisor or administrator to the
    Graduate Admission’s Office.
  • a timed writing sample (two page
    maximum). This sample will be taken
    just prior to the formal interview.
  • an interview with the Director of the
    Ed.D. program and the Chair of the
    Department of Education.

K-12 Supervisor Option

  • a master’s degree in education and a
    certificate in Educational Leadership
    (principalship or other area of school
    administration)
  • submit Graduate Record Examination
    (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT).
    The tests must have been taken within
    the past five years.

Academic Administration in Higher Education

  • a master’s degree (teacher’s license
    not necessary)
  • submit Graduate Record Examination
    (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT).
    The tests must have been taken within
    the past five years
